New York: Scribner & Co., 1870. First edition of the first volume of this bound periodical containing six monthly issues. Three quarter dark red leather over marbled boards, gilt spine lettering with slightly raised spine bands, marbled endpapers. Some rubbing to the extremities, spine darkened with some age crackling to the spine surface which has been archivally stabilized, good hinges, firm text block, clean pages with a small bookseller stamp on one of the preliminary blanks, no other names or markings.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
