Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 274pp. A lovely copy of this second edition, illustrated with numerous full page b/w photographic plates throughout and a fold out plan of a palace towards the rear of the book- all as called for. Original publishers cloth with brown embossed decoration and vignette an octopus to the front board. Significant fading to the spine and an area of rubbing of 1 cm to the front edge of the front board. One corner slightly bumped, affecting the top of the corners of several adjacent pages. . Neat ink inscription to the front end paper dated 1917. Upper fore edge slightly dusty. the pages are fresh, clean and tight. A very good copy opf this well illustrated book.
