The authors, experts on all things Dracula, horror films & literature, & Eastern European/Russian history, examine the real-life Dracula, Vlad the Impaler of Transylvania, & his many incarnations in movies & books. A true FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1972, this hardcover small quarto has black cloth-covered boards & blood-red lettering to front & spine. Condition is VG: generally very clean & bright, though a few pages from 75-85 have random spotting & soiling; completely unmarked otherwise. Binding tight & square. Modest rubbing to extremities, with wear & fraying at lower-outer corner of front board. The unclipped DJ is also VG, with slight edgewear, including a 1" tear descending from top of spine-front cover interface down toward the capital "D" in the title. Nicely protected in clear mylar by former owner, which was neatly taped inside front & back cover.
