London: J. F. Du Roveray, 1802. FINELY BOUND, with steel engravings. Octavo (23 x 15cm), pp.xxiv, 262 [4]. With a fine steel engraved plate for each season and a frontispiece, by various artists. In contemporary brown latticed full calf, with gilt titles and decoration to spine and gilt ruling to boards. Marbled endpapers; all edges flecked blue. Heavy browning to leaves facing plates (lacking tissue guards). Recent repair to upper joint; lower joint split, still holding. Some light wear to fore-edges. Good overall. A series of four blank verse poems which first appeared between 1726 and 1730, by the Scottish author responsible for the well known lyrics of 'Rule, Britannia!', set to music by Thomas Arne in 1740.
