Beautifully bound in light brown top-grain cowhide and stamped in gilt. Volume 2 only of a 3 volume set. Contains the third of the work's five books, which deals with disorders of the belly. Thick 4to 10 1/4" tall. 5 raised bands on spine. Pages edges in bright gilt. Black silk ribbon marker. Marbled endpages. 770 pages printed on laid paper. Privately printed for members of the Classics of Medicine Library. A few fox spots on endpages otherwise clean. Copy number 2036 previously owned by Paul Richard Brown M.D. near Fine condition..
