London: Arthur L. Humphreys, 1911. 12mo. Later printing. 222pp., which includes "The Soul of a Man" on socialism. Once released from prison, Wilde went into exile taking the name Sebastian Melmoth. These epigrams and aphorisms of Wilde were originally published in 1895 by Humphreys in Oscariana and later re-issued under the current title with a different collection of aphorisms as Sebastian Melmoth. Bound by Riviere in full green morocco, rebacked retaining original endpapers, double morocco spine labels gilt, top edge gilt, inner gilt dentelles, round mark from sticker? A wide margined copy, some rubbing to edges. a very good copy.
