Very good in a green tweed covers, in a fair dustjacket (loss of approximately one inch at top of dj spine, other chips to the top edge of the dj). Later printing. Although this series, which features sisters Jean and Louise Dana, who attend Starhurst Academy, was written under the same Stratemeyer house pseudonymn as that used for the Nancy Drew series, the first 4 books in this series were actually written by Leslie McFarlane, who wrote many of the original Hardy Boys books. Dark green and white illustrated endpapers, light green topstain, frontispiece. Both the book and the dust jacket list thru 'Mystery of the Bamboo Bird' (#22) Original text with 25 chapters and 218 pp.
