Boston: Beacon Press, 1996. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/good. Signed and inscribed by the author on the half-title page, "For Victoria - with best wishes - Margaret R. Miles." Red and silver hardcover 1st edition in dustjacket. A very good copy with a review stamp to the bottom edge, Minor bumping to the bottom corners and the rear front edge. Interior is clean and tight as if unread. The jacket is not quite as good with chips and ruffling along the top edges and a short tear at the top of the front fold. Original bookstore sticker still affixed to the rear panel. 254 pp., indexed, the author's exploration of 80s and 90s popular films and their treatment of religion and social values.

Synopsis

Margaret R. Miles is dean of the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California.
