Philadelphia: Classic Press. Fair. 1804. Hardcover. Spine, joints, and corners well rubbed with surface cracking along front joint, but remains solid owing to strong hinges. Front pastedown coming loose at lower outside corner, with tanning stains at extremities, also showing on rear ten leaves or so and endpaper; all leaves well tanned but evenly so for the most part with occassional spotting. Light pencil marginalia pages 73-134.; (i title, xiii) 182 pp. ; followed by Dialogorum Luciani (1) 76 pp. Original full brown calf, red leather spine label lettered in gilt. Text in Greek and Latin with notes in English. Bishop Jackson Kemper's copy with his ownership signature top leading corner of front endpaper. Kemper was a pioneer Episcopal clergyman in the American West. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 182;76 pages .
