New York Columbia University Press, 1951, hardcover. First Edition, First Printing. -- Foreword by George Herzog. The music was field-collected in Yugoslavia in the 1930s by Parry. The Bartok section contains 54 music examples, with detailed analysis. The song lyrics are in the Lord section, in parallel text, the original language opposite the English translation. -- Hardcover, 431 pages. Condition: very good (cover spine tips and corners lightly bumped and rubbed; some faint pencil notes in margins and on pastedown; a few page corners creased; owner name; no jacket).
