Venetiis (Venice/Venezia): Aloysium Pavinum, 1708. 2nd Edition . Good Plus. 5.25 x 8 inches (13.5 x 20 cm). Contemporary full calf leather binding. Dulled gilt border boards. Spine with five raised bands and dulled gilt border to compartments. Boards rubbed and stained with wear to edges. Spine worn and has some worming (no worming to the pages). Red speckled page edges. Cracking to front joint but securely bound. Light water staining to all pages up to p10 and from p195 to the end of the book, staining is more pronounced to the last few pages of text and to the Index pages. Engraved frontis has been closely cropped to outer margin. Two previous owner bookplates to front pastedown endpaper (Patricia Milne-Henderson; Phil. Diss in Munchen). Previous owner's name in old ink to verso of front free endpaper. Numerous fine engravings of coinage from Julius Caesar up to Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I. Overall condition is Good Plus. Size: 5.25 x 8 inches (13.5 x 20 cm). Hardback. Printed pages: 8vo. 237, [1] (Errata)
