First Edition, First State, on laid paper; original blue diced cloth, upper board lettered in gilt, gilt back. Page edges rough cut. 4pp publisher's catalogue to rear. Very Good+ condition with no inscriptions. In Very Good original dustwrapper, which has a touch of handling wear to the spine panel.
The first British edition, published by Heinemann in 1919 (and preceding the 1920 US Edition). Includes the celebrated story "Enoch Soames". Scarce in such attractive condition with original wrapper.
