by Marion J. Hatchett

Condition: Very Good-/None

"A significant part of the liturgics curriculum at the School of Theology, Sewanee, has been the preparation for and participation in certain key historic Eucharistic rites which are basic to an understanding of the development of the rites of the Book of Common Prayer and of Services for Trial Use. Some of these from among the Pre-Reformation rites have not been available in a form adapted for actual use. Since use at St. Luke's, some have been used in other situations. Almost all could be said to come within the bounds prescribed by "An Order for Celebrating the Holy Eucharist" of Services for Trial Use if the Eucharistic Prayer is adapted to the "D" form of that Order...." - Seven Pre-Reformation Eucharistic Liturgies
