About This Item
London: Oxford University Press, (1964). First edition thus, first printing. This is a very good (or better) copy. The dust wrapper, with wood engravings by David Gentlemen (also internally), has some light closed tears at the top edge and light shelf wear present. There is a spot of browning to the spine edge and a mild tear to the rear panel. It has been price clipped. The boards are without notable wear and the text blocks are lightly foxed. There is a small, neat previous owner's inscription to the front fly leaf. This is a very good (or better) copy, marred by the above issue points.
John Clare's masterpiece, accompanied by some stunning engravings.
