London: Faber and Faber Limited, 1936. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. First edition. 12mo. 280pp. Blue cloth with spine stamped in gilt and publisher's postcard laid in. Near fine with some toning to the boards, couple small bumps and light wrinkle to the rear board in near fine lightly toned dust jacket with the uncommon publisher's wraparound band light faded at the spine. The story of George Sherston, the semi-autobiographical figure, also featured in Sassoon's *Memoirs of Fox-Hunting Man* and *Memoirs of an Infantry Officer*. [Keynes A40a].
