New and revised edition, large 8vo, 2 volumes, pp. [6], 2, 10, [2], 289, [3], 36, [6]; [2], 17, [3]; 132 illustrations in the first volume including composite plates, and 105 plates in the second volume, including 35 in color; text largely in Japanese, with English preface and list of objects; full blue cloth, gilt title on cover and spine, fine in fine original slipcase. A catalog released on the tenth anniversary of the incorporation of the Sumitomo collection. Catalogs of the collection had previously been published in the early 20th century, and this new edition incorporates the improved understanding of Chinese bronzes developed over the following 50 years. The Sumitomo collection is one of the most important collections of Chinese bronzes outside of China.
