A bright and fine copy, with bookseller's plate to the rear pastedown, otherwise clean interior; unclipped dust jacket, minor toning to the spine and top edges of the panels, chips to the spine head, rear hinge, and bottom edge of the front panel, a few spots of light soiling, otherwise bright panels. Overall, a very good or better copy. Roberts A66. The Ship of Death is a collection of Lawrence's poetry selected from his 1932 collection Last Poems. Specifically, it includes "Image-Making Love," "Whales Weep Not!," "Temples," "Two Ways of Living and Dying," "Spilling the Salt," "The Triumph of the Machine," "Invocation to the Moon," and "Abysmal Immortality," among others, in addition to the titular "The Ship of Death." Interestingly, this volume contains a different selection than the book published under the same title by Faber and Faber in May 1941.
