New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1899 Hardcover , 8vo, in blue cloth with titles in gilt to front and upon spine. 373pp + ads. A novel of the West Country of England by Sir Arthur Thomas Quiller-Couch (1863 - 1944), a Cornish writer who also used the pseudonym "Q". He became famous as a literary critic and the editor of the Oxford Book of English Verse. Condition: About Very Good, but with small split at top of outer joint of spine. There are scratches to the back cover and the spine is slightly sunned. X-library with ink stamp to title page. A good reading copy. Watson III 1072.. Hard Cover. Good+.
