Description:
Chicago: The Henneberry Company, 1901. A cute little educational tome, abridging Duffy's book from 1882, taking the history to 1895. Duffy (1816-1903) was a founder of "The Nation," and an important voice for Irish nationalism. This is a Very Good copy of the First Edition. Green cloth binding, ruled on the front, with gilt lettering and a few shamrocks thrown in. Clean text; 156 pages. Previous-owner bookplate on the front paste-down; penciled notation and previous-owner signature on the FFEP. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First Thus.. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.
