About This Item

London: Macmillan, 1995. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Fine/Fine. Tan colored cloth over boards with title stamped in gilt onto spine, 8vo (8-1/2 inches tall), pp. 196, with "First published 1995 by Macmillan" and numberline starting with "1" on the copyright page. Inscribed and signed two times by the author on the title page, once under her printed name "Priscilla Masters." and then "To Jax and Peter with / regard and affection. / 'Cilla X.". Also inscribed by British crime author Peter Lovesey "A gift from my friend, Priscilla Masters / Peter Lovesey." Peter Lovesey wrote the jacket blurb for this title (Masters' first mystery) and has won both the Gold Dagger and the Cartier Diamond Dagger Awards for his work. An interesting association between two well know mystery writers, one at the very beginning of their carreer, the other aproaching the end.
