In Spanish. 1948 Revista de Occidente (Madrid, Spain), 5 x 6 3/4 inches tall half leather (spine and tips) volume, gilt ruling to covers, four raised bands and gilt decoration and lettering to spine, blue marbled endpapers, illustrated with black-and-white photographs and drawings (some folding), 262 pp. Very slight soiling, rubbing and edgewear to covers, with all four tips worn through. Otherwise, a very good to near fine copy - clean, bright and unmarked - with a handsome shelf appearance. ~G~ [2.0P] Author Emilio GarcÃa Gómez, 1st Count of Alixares (1905-1995) was a Spanish Arabist, literary historian and critic. This collection of his literary essays drew on his experiences while living in Granada during the early thirties.
