Austin: W. Thomas Taylor, 1995. Quarto. lxxxiv, 242pp., leaf tipped in at rear. One of 100 copies of the special first edition distributed for the Friends of the Brigham Young University Library by W. Thomas Taylor. Specially bound in quarter goatskin, with an original leaf from the 1524 Colines edition of Aristotle's Historia Animalium bearing three fine criblé initials. Introduction by Jeanne Veyrin-Forrer. An illustrated catalogue which describes 230 editions published by the first true Renaissance printer, Simon de Colines, including items that are either unrecorded by Colines's bibliographer, Phillippe Renouard, or known in only one other copy. Light soiling to leaf and faint rubbing to spine, else fine in quarter morocco and cloth. Bookplate. (Chalmers 210).
