Collection of letters written in response to ones sent to radio & television journalist Andrew Aitken Rooney (1919 - 2011), known for his weekly broadcast, "A Few Minutes with Andy Rooney", on the CBS 60 Minutes from 1978 to 2011. His last showing aired on October 2, 2011, a month before his death at age 92. A pacifist, drafted into the U.S. Army in 1941, Rooney, based in London, wrote for the Stars & Stripes. He was a correspondent to fly on the 2nd American bombing over Germany in February 1943 w/the 8th Air Force, the 1st journalist to reach Ludendorff Bridge after it's capture in 1945, and, was among the first to visit Nazi concentration camps towards the end of World War II. 325 pgs, arranged in 15 parts.
