New York: Books, Inc, 1944. Reprint. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. Black patterned cloth over boards, title stamped in gilt onto spine, 12mo (7-3/8 inches tall), pp. 348, top edge stained red. Volume with light wear and slight bumps. DJ with edge wear and short closed tears, a crease at foot of front panel, chips to spine ends and two small tape repairs verso. Originally published in 1940 by Harper & Brothers, this Midnite Mysteries Series edition jacket has an uncredited example of early needle artwork on the front panel.
