Beige coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured embossed titles to the front panel and blue embossed coloured titles to the backstrip. A book put out by the Singer sewing company to help purchasers of their machines to get the best use out of same. The book goes from the basics of sewing through to machine fancy stitching – there is even directions on how to mend stockings!A really thorough and comprehensive book on sewing for the amateur up to the more professional sewer.  Softening of the backstrip edges and there is a small, 0.25 " split to the top left hand corner of the backstrip. Sunning with foxing to the backstrip and there are two stains to the front panel. Light age toning of the text block edges and pages. Offset tanning and browning to the endpapers and the front end papers show a little insect activity.  Second Edition. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall.
