Alfred A Knopf, NY, 1956, 181 pgs. First/First edition, in Very Good/Very Good condition, with some shelf/edgewear, bit toning, and separation at top of spine/top edge. The DJ has shelf/edgewear, tear to spine top, and a spot of soiling to front edge. Otherwise reasonably tight, square, clean, and unclipped $3.00 price intact. A young American engineer is sent to China in the 1920's to inspect the unruly Yangtse River for possible locations for a great dam. All books bubble wrapped and shipped promptly in a box.
