About This Item

Washington D. C.: Geo. W. Berton. Good. 1912. Hardcover. B&W Illustrations; This book is in Good condition and is lacking a dust jacket. The spine ends, corners and edges of the book covers have some bumping, rubbing and wear, along with at least one bump and some light fraying to the corners and edges. The book covers have fading and spots of foxing and ground-in dirt. There is a noticeable bump to the top front corner of the book cover. There is a half page pictorial pastedown on the front cover that has some darkening / toning, along with some edge wear, rubbing and nicking. The text pages are generally clean and bright. The spine joints between the reverse of the front endpaper, title page, and the preface have cloth tape for stability. The tape between the copyright page and preface is cracking along the edge - the crack goes up several inches, and the page is somewhat fragile. There is a previous owner's inked name on the front pastedown page. .
