London: Methuen & Co, 1908. First Thus. Very Good. Translated by A. C. Farquharson. Illustrated by Edmund J. Sullivan with a frotispiece from an engraving by Albrecht Durer [Knight, Death and the Devil]. Bound in half vellum over marbled boards with gilded flora on spine and leather label with gilded lettering. Top edge gilded, long and lower edge rough cut. Many sections uncut. Slight lean, some rubbing at edges, and toning to some of the rough edges. Ffep with toning, and a handful of minor spots in the interior, otherwise clean and clear. With twenty illustrations by Sullivan based on the frontispiece.
