Printed for the Author, 1817. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1817. 2nd Edition. 226 pages. No dust jacket. Brown paper covered boards. Volume III only. Advertisement page to rear. Spine is missing. Severe cracking to hinges and gutters. Pages and boards extremely fragile and held together by string binding. Text block split in two between pages 120-1. Rough-cut pages are mildly tanned with noticeable foxing throughout. Large tear to page 745, slightly affecting text; but remains legible. Brown staining to pages on occasion, text. Ink smudges to page 153, covering text in place; but remains legible. Tears and creases to edges, with occasional loss. More pronounced to bottom edge of page 111. Text is unaffected. Loss to bottom corner of page 145. Visible black marks to half title page. Occasional thumb-marking. Boards have noticeable edge wear with scuffing and markings. Spine is missing, binding underneath is exposed. Fragile item.
