Johnson was the son of the Physician-Extraordinary to Queen Victoria. Himself he was known as a yachter, owning a fine fleet of modern yawls, including the 'Moonbeam'. His impressive library extended to some 6,000 volumes.Bookplate of W. A. Foyle of Beeleigh Abbey to the recto of the front endpaper.Undated, dated from WorldCat. In a half crushed morocco binding with marbled paper to the boards, bound by Zaehnsdorf. Externally, smart. Very light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Bookplate to the front paste down and to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Fine
