1. London: Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme, Brown, and Green. First edition 1823. 276 pages + extensive index. Corregio frontis drawn by J. Jackson. Half leather with gilt borders to marbled covers. Spine shows title compartment w. letters impressed on leather from missing label, raised bands, gilt tooling, and 2"" crack to front top joint. Mild rubbing overall, corner tips worn thru, marbled endpapers, hinge papers cracked. Attractive engraved round bookplate of Charles George Perceval, Rector of Calverton on the front pastedown. Neat signed ""Lucy Countess of Egmont September 1897"" on first fep; ""Mildren Baker Matken(?)""on the 2nd fep. Occasional light spots of foxing.
