Cincinnati: Wm. H. Moore & Co., Publishers, 1851. First Edition. Cloth. Very good. First edition of Sketches and Statistics of Cincinnati in 1851 by Charles Cist.. Octavo, viii, [13]-363pp, [1]. Brown pebbled cloth, title in gilt on spine, spine relaid over matching cloth. Previous ownership inscriptions on both endpapers. Solid text block, a few pencil marks internally. Complete with 23 full page illustrations, including 13 lithographs of Cincinnati landmarks and 10 derrogutypes of prominent citizens (more than is called for in Thomson). All with tissue covers, occasional toning to plates. (Sabin 13154) (Thomson 223). This work is the second of three editions from Charles Cist, including Cincinnati in 1841, Sketches and Statistics of Cincinnati in 1851 and Cincinnati in 1859.
