Hardcover in slipcase : pp. [iv] [8] 9-111 [i] : chocolate e.p.s : top edge dyed : honey coloured bevelled boards with title debossed to top board and lettered in gilt to spine on chocolate ground : chocolate brown slipcase : signed on the limitation page by Jones.

Two tiny spots to top board and one to lower board (2mm diameter or less); minor flecking to slipcase. No. 50/150.

"David Jones was a poet and graphic artist. He is best known for his long narrative poems In Parenthesis (1937) and The Anathemata (1952), and for his engravings and paintings, which have won many awards. While not as well known as other modernist writers such as T.S. Eliot, Ezra Pound, and James Joyce, Jones "is increasingly regarded as an important, innovative poet, who has extended and refined the techniques of literary modernism."
