Severn House, 1983. First British Edition. Cloth. Near Fine+/Near Fine in Plastic Cover. A lovely First Edition (U.K.) in dark maroon cloth. In Near Fine+ condition with a tiny rubbed spot on the lower cover edge the only flaw. The Near Fine dustjacket is complete with the original price and very slight toning to the white panels. A wonderful copy. By the author of "Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant," "Saint Maybe," "The Accidental Tourist" and "Breathing Lessons" for which she won the 1989 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.

Synopsis

Anne Tyler was born in Minneapolis in 1941 but grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina. She graduated at nineteen from Duke University and went on to do graduate work in Russian studies at Columbia University. Tyler’s eleventh novel, Breathing Lessons , was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1988. She is a member of the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters. She lives in Baltimore.
