Methuen & Co. Limited. Very Good. 255pp. 1943. Seventh edition. 12mo. sized. A lovely, clean, tight very good plus copy in blue cloth in very good jacket. Original publisher's blue cloth - stamped in black to the spine and to the front board. A contemporary short gift inscription to the head of the front endpaper and a date too. The jacket has not been price-clipped. It has creases to both flaps of the jacket. It has a chip to the tail of the spine (no loss of titles) and one to the lower rear corner. Slight chips too to two other corners and to the head and tail of the spine. There is a very small triangular shaped chip to the middle of the spine with a slight dash of fading to the underlying blue cloth. The secondary title in red is pretty faded to the spine but just about legible (the author's name is). An early edition in a scarce surviving jacket with charming colour image to the front panel.
