About fine in wrappers, as issued, housed in a custom cloth clamshell case with leather spine label. The author's first book. Warmly Inscribed by McElroy to fellow author Jonathan Carroll, with a 1971 Typed Letter Signed by McElroy to Carroll discussing the book, comparing it to his works that followed, and mentioning the futile attempts by the publisher to market it.
