New York: Alfred A Knopf, 1942. 58pp Gold colored dustjacket with maroon lettering and white snow goose on front cover. Clipped dustjacket in very good condition for its age; lightly rubbed along the edges; small tear on back cover; a little shelf worn. Green boards in very nice shape. Interior clean and tight. inscribed on ffep by someone signing as "the General" in 1942. A very nice vintage copy.. Later Printing. Cloth. Very Good+/Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
Synopsis
Paul Gallico was born in New York in 1892. He became a minor celebrity as a sports writer and then began writing short stories for magazines. Gallico went on to write many more short stories and novels, including The Poseidon Adventure in 1969. He died in 1976.
