It is unmarked, with clean pages, free of inscriptions or marks and has been signed by the author directly on to the title page. It has small bumps to the top and bottom corners of the back board and at the bottom of the back board adjacent to the spine. The Dust Jacket is fine, unfaded, unclipped (£18.99) and is free of or marks. It has a small area of rub to the bottom back corner adjacent to the spine. The front face carries a round self adhesive label stating 'Signed Copy'. First Edition, First Printing - Signed by the author. All our books are covered with a clear, removable, chemically inert, protective wrapper before being securely bubble wrapped and dispatched in strong corrugated cardboard boxes.

Synopsis

JANE SMILEY is the author of numerous novels, including  A Thousand Acres,  which was awarded the Pulitzer Prize, as well as five works of nonfiction and a series of books for young adults. In 2001 she was inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and in 2006 she received the PEN USA Lifetime Achievement Award for Literature.
