1867 Confederate 1ed John Morgan's Raid CIVIL WAR Basil Duke Gettysburg VicksburgJohn Hunt Morgan was a Confederate general in the American Civil War known mostly by his now famous Raid, an operation now known as 'Morgan's Raid'. Morgan sought to slow the Union growth in both Vicksburg and Gettysburg (both of which would become war-changing battles) by moving Confederate troops throughout the North hoping to draw Union armies toward the raiders and away from strongholds.

According to Coleman,

1865 RARE 1ed Abraham Lincoln Assassination Conspiracy J Wilkes Booth CorbettFollowing the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, countless books, articles, and essays were published on the iconic president's life and political career. And while most of them focused primarily on Lincoln himself, one particular work stands out among the rest. Entitled 'The Assassination and history of the Conspiracy', this book is dedicated to John Wilkes Booth and Booth's assassin Boston Corbett. Written by an anonymous author, this book delivers a sense of nationwide grief throughout its pages, even noting the impact the tragedy had on Great Britain at the time.

His history of Mexico is considered one of the best of the early histories of the subject. His history of Baja California is the first such, and contains passages relating to the foundation of the mission at San Francisco, as well as material on Kino and Salvatierra. Translated from the Italian manuscripts by Nicoles Garcia de San Vincente. The Palou volume is essential reading for the early history of Northern California.
