London: Readers Library, 1928. Photoplay edition issued to coincide with the British release of the silent film released in America as Old Ironsides. A stirring tale of American naval adventure during the War of 1812, this epic film stars Wallace Beery, Esther Ralston, George Bancroft, and Charles Farrell. Fine in a bright dust jacket with a couple of minor nicks. The front panel of the dust jacket shows a color painting of Charles Farrell as the Commodore in full naval uniform brandishing a sword and instructing a sailor in firing a cannon against an attacking ship. The rear panel shows Esther Ralston waving to the sailing “Old Ironsides.”
