About This Item

New York: Harry N Abrams, 1987. Hardcover. Fine/fine. With 160 illustrations including 75 in full color. Sophie's father, E.I. du Pont, founder of the du Pont company, came from France in 1802 and settled on the banks of the Brandywine Creek, four miles above Wilminghton, where he set up a gunpowder factory. A window on the America of the Early Republic is opened for us by young Sophie du Pont. A period of ten years in the family life of the du Ponts is illuminated by Sophie's letters, diaries, and sketches from the age of 13 until she was 23. Book and jacket are fine with little edge wear. The jacket is not clipped and it does not have a price on it. (Book club?)

About Trolls Treasure

Home-based, online sales only. I am running out of space to keep my collection of books, but I cannot bypass any chance offered at searching out some interesting venue offering books. I dithered for quite some time over this problem, and went right on buying books, until it occurred to me that I could make room for new purchases if I started selling some of my books. So, here I am, a small business, but offering personal service. Happy to answer questions.
