An historian's examination of the middleman role played by the country storekeeper in the economy of the antebellum American South. The book is in very good condition: clean and tight, with minimal toning of pages. The dust jacket is crisp and reasonably bright but somewhat darkened, especially along the spine. There are two small dots of old dried glue on the rear panel of the jacket.. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good-. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Book.
