Octavos. 8 volumes: [3], 536pp; [3], 628pp; [3], 515pp; [3], 531pp; [3], 528pp; [3], 555pp., [1]; 528pp; [3], 523pp. Three-quarter brown leather bindings with reddish marbled paper covered boards. Ex-library volumes from the Providence Public Library. Each volume has gilt library numbers and removed sticker from spines, library label on front paste downs, written numbers verso of title pages, blind stamp on title pages, and marked out label on rear paste downs. Light edge wear to boards. Leather rubbed on joints and corners. Light chips to head of spines for 2 of the volumes. Internal contents in very good condition. Last page of volume 6 announced that the Southern Review would cease its publication due to financial reasons. The Southern Review was published quarterly from February 28, 1828 to February 1832. No issue for February 1831.
