One Of 2008 Copies Of The First Printing (With 1947 Date And All Interior Illustrations Present, "First Edition" Stated On Copyright Page), Of Which 300 Had An Inserted Numbered Plate (This One Being #58). The First Book From Fantasy Press. This First Issue Copy In The Proper First Issue Dust Jacket With Only Four Titles On Back. Book With Light Rubbing To Spine, All Gilt Present And Bright But Not As Brilliant As When New. Dj With Light Wear At Corners, Wear And 1/4" Closed Tear At Top Of Front Panel, Minute Losses At Ends Of Spine And At Tips, Two 1/8" Deep Tears At Top Of Spine. (The Bibliography Of This Book Is Complex: A Reprint Of 1000 Copies In 1947 Dropped The Interior Illustrations But Not The Date, And A Later 1949 Reprint Of 2510 Copies Also Lacked The Interiors, Except For 985 Bound With Only The Frontispiece. All Later Issue Dust Wrappers List Eleven Titles On The Rear Panel).
