About This Item
American Sports Publishing, New York, 1907. 6.75" X 5" in paper covers. Back cover missing; front cover barely hanging on; damage to the lower front corner [please see photos]: FAIR MINUS. This is a very interesting little book. The first few pages consist of ads for Spalding's other volumes in this series, and there are quite a few. There are photos of contemporary tennis players - men in trousers, ladies in long dresses - plus interesting articles about tennis around the world. The last approx. 20 pages are, of course, a catalog of Spalding tennis equipment, from racquets to nets, shoes, line markers, etc. By the way, these shoes are not to be believed! Approx 200pp. [BA059]. 1st Edition. Soft cover. Fair/No Jacket.
