A lovely copy of this collection of short stories by Raymond Chandler, the first Tower Edition of this work, enclosed in the original dust wrapper. A collection of short stories by Raymond Chandler, including 'Spanish Blood', 'The King in Yellow', 'Pearls are a Nuisance', 'Nevada Gas', and 'Trouble in my Business'. The first Tower Edition of this work, published the same year as the true first edition. Raymond Chandler was an American-British novelist and screenwriter who also occasionally wrote detective crime stories. He is well known for writing The Big Sleep (1939), The Long Goodbye (1953), and The Lady in the Lake (1943). Enclosed in the original bright dust wrapper. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, lovely, with just a touch of shelf wear. Original unclipped dust wrapper is very smart, with just some very light edgewear and a few light marks to the rear of the wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age-toned, but are otherwise clean throughout. Near Fine
