Carnegie's aims were to determine the nature of the country between Warburton & Forrest's routes, ascertain whether any auriferous areas existed to the north & to examine the possibility of a direct stock route between the two goldfields.
Lge 8vo, xvi, 454pp. Frontispiece and illustrations in text and folding maps. A good + copy of the scarce New York edition. Original tan gilt & black decorated cloth. [Map at p135 loose]. Some separation of the fascicules; binding is good +, however it needs to be restitched and strengthened. Pocket at back with maps. F7960.
