Printed for J Wheble, London, 1813. First Edition. Hardcover. Fair Condition/No Dust Jacket. Half leather with marbled covers and banded decorated spine with spine-labels, text in 2 columns per page. Bumped corners and wear at spine-ends and board edges. Top 6th portion of spine is missing. Leather on front hinge is cracked and back cover is detatched. Binding is otherwise sound, some very occasional foxing. Includes 5 plates; frontis “The Chariot Race”, vignette title with “The Beagle”, “Dogs Fighting” facing page 53, “Sorcerer” facing page 101 and “The Fox, The Heron and the Eel” facing page 174. No other plates are present.
