Constable & Co, 1926. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1926. Reprinted. 146 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with a colour illustrated frontis and plates throughout. Heavy foxing and moderate tanning to pages with heavier foxing and tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Pen and pencil inscriptions to front endpaper and major tanning to text block edges. Both hinges are cracked with exposed netting and cracks to guttering with exposed netting. Boards have visible rubbing and notable bumping to corners. Heavy crushing to spine ends and visible tanning to spine. There is fraying to cloth at corners and spine ends.

In good plus navy cloth boards, gilt titles to front and back strip. The covers are a little loose from damage to hinge, but straight; lightly marked on back cover. Slightly tanned free end papers; attractive book plate on front paste down. Tanned and foxed cut edges; the fore and tail edges are deckled. Good, square text block, lightly foxed. With 8 colour tipped in illustrations by Lionel Edwards. No inscriptions etc.
