In three volumes; 310, 325 and 323pp., This story is set in fictional spa-town of Saint Ronan's just a few years prior to its publication. The story revolves around the enmity of two half-brothers, Valentine Bulmer and Francis Tyrrel. From the library of Walsh with an armorial bookplate, bound in 3/4 black polished calf, flat spines lettered and decorated in gilt, all edges marbled, board edges rubbed, A very nice set.
